Surfing Off the Coast of Innsmouth

from Do They Walk Among Us? by The Suction Cups

/

lyrics

Surfing off the coast of Devil's Reef,
Dark skies above and inky depths beneath.
A killer wave sweeps me off my feet,
Surrounded by Deepones, claws tearing deep...

Down through the murky depths,
To the city of Ithacae,
To the altar of Dagon,
Spread eagle across the block I pray.

Lungs fill with water,
Chest cavity about to burst.
Slime spread across my skin
Blood runs thick with this curse.

Soaked in sweat in my own bed.

Was it all a nightmare?
Was my being really there?
Where is my true home?
I need to get some air.

That can't be me in the mirror
A monstrous sight, cause for despair.
Smooth of scalp and bulbous eyes
Webbed hands, protruding spine.
